Purpose

The PlumbLife Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to prospective students who are continuing into their second, third or fourth year of plumbing educational courses through a State Certified Adult Educational Plumbing Program. The scholarship is also based on demonstrated academic achievement, financial need, and an expressed interest in pursuing a plumbing education as an apprentice while working toward obtaining their Master Plumbers License.

Criteria

The students eligible for assistance must be graduates from high school (18years or older), who have completed their first year of an accredited plumbing apprenticeship program through a private plumbing company or plumbing union. The plumbing educational course the student is attending must follow the National Association of Plumbing Heating-Cooling Contractors (NAPHCC) curriculum. Students must have completed one out of four years of State Certified Adult Educational Plumbing Program to be eligible and registered to begin their 2nd, 3rd or 4thyear.  Students should submit a scholarship application to PlumbLife Corporation for evaluation and consideration of scholarship funding along with a letter of recommendation from their current employer.

Guidelines

Scholarships will be awarded on a bi- annual basis. Scholarship requests will be accepted year round, but will be evaluated and disbursed in full payments in between the months of June and August. Students must continue to attend classes and maintain the state specified qualifications to pass the State Certified Adult Educational Plumbing Program. (All and any dates are subject to change)

Amount

The number of scholarships offered is determined by the amount of donations provided through our sponsorship program. Each scholarship awarded will be a minimum of $500 annually, to be paid in one installment to the corresponding State Certified Adult Educational Program for the selected individual.

Deadline

The application deadline is June 1st for applicants requesting financial assistance for the following educational semester or term. The deadline is the date after which applications will no longer be accepted for the following semester or term. PlumbLife Corporation uses the postmarked date to determine mailed entries. (All and any dates are subject to change)
